Ka La Watches with Koa Dials

I just got two Ka La watches back from my watchmaker today (2 days ahead of schedule). These have Hawaiian Koa wood dials with ion plated blue hands and hour markers. The previous three Koa wood watches had IP Rose Gold hands and hour makers. So this is a test to see if the blue components increase contrast. I think the results speak for themselves.

Below is a quick and dirty cell phone photo taken in my car (parked). The watch straps are just placed by the cases (they are not mounted) but they give you an idea of what the watches would look like with these genuine alligator strap colors.

What makes "Curly Koa" so special are the stripes that are a natural polarization. The light and dark portions of the stripes change places when the viewing angle is changed and you have a direct light source. So, as you rotate your wrist a bit, the stripes change from light to dark. Pretty cool!
